JENIS GUTIERREZ

Jenis started at Murphy Law Firm in 2013, left for a year to serve in the army overseas, and has returned in 2015 to work in our West Chester office. He serves as translator and law clerk assisting our attorneys in preparation of evidence packets for our clients. From 1997 to 2013, he served in the U.S. Army in a wide variety of positions. He received several awards while serving including the Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Good Conduct Medal, to name a few. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Jenis lives in West Chester and is a student at West Chester University where he is working on his B.A. in Communication Studies and a Minor in Spanish.

MELODY NIXON

Melody ingresó a Murphy Law Firm en 2014 como Escritora Legal y Especialista Centroamericana. Ella aporta un conocimiento amplio de la cultura de Centroamérica por haber obtenido su licenciatura en Lenguas Extranjeras (español y francés) y su doctorado en Literatura Hispana de la Universidad de Michigan con una tesis sobre la literatura de escritoras centroamericanas. Melody dio clases en español y literatura y cultura latinoamericana al nivel universitario por diecisiete años. Ha escrito varios artículos en su área de especialización para congresos y revistas académicos. Ella también ha estudiado y trabajado en España.

ALEXANDER STEEL

Alex started at Murphy Law Firm in January 2012 in our West Chester Office. He is a part-time student at West Chester University where his studies include Spanish as well as Latin American Cultures. Alex maintains our client database helping to keep client information organized and accurate. He also assists the firm attorneys in the preparation of client filings and applications. Alex has traveled abroad including teaching English in Nepal. He graduated from Rustin High School in West Chester and he is conversational in Spanish.

SUZANNE MURPHY

Since the founding of Murphy Law Firm in 2008, Suzanne has served as business manager handling all marketing efforts including the design and maintenance of the firm websites, advertising materials, and company identity. She also serves as the firm’s financial manager including client billing and accounts payable. She has worked in the advertising and graphic design industry for over twenty-five years and has won several awards for her work. She earned her B.A. from Gettysburg College where she majored in economics. Suzanne is currently studying Spanish.

MARCELLE BACON

Marcelle Bacon joined Murphy Law Firm in 2014. She currently works a paralegal and speaks Spanish and French. Marcelle graduated from West Chester University in 2012 with a B.A. in French and a minor in Spanish. She has also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. Marcelle has worked in immigration law since 2012, and she is a dedicated supporter of immigrant rights. She enjoys traveling, music, and learning about new cultures.
